The design team has redefined the airport experience with Capsule Transit MAX at KLIA2, blending futuristic accents and chic elements of comfort. Inspired by the versatile nature of tin and Kuala Lumpur’s tin mining history, the space transitions from raw, angular forms to polished, curved elements, creating a sophisticated and welcoming environment. Upon entry, travellers encounter a striking façade of architectural fins, leading to a public area where clean lines and structured forms mix with earthy tones for a modern yet comforting atmosphere. The guestrooms feature chic, futuristic designs with cool blue lighting emanating from a central iridescent ‘lantern,’ which doubles a clothes rack and a spatial divider – creating a calming ambiance amid the travel bustle. The corridors offer an immersive journey through Malaysia’s landscapes, from lush rainforests to vibrant seascapes, enriched with local food illustrations and witty lingos. Capsule Transit MAX transforms transit into a memorable experience, merging aesthetics with functionality in a celebration of Malaysian culture.
