The recent refurbishment, reflects Kuching’s evolving character through its design ethos. The hotel’s entrance features a contemporary design with subtle traditional accents, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Inside, the lobby is a masterful fusion of Kuching’s traditional crafts and modern elements, including intricate ceiling installations and sleek marble flooring. The bar lounge combines luxurious velvet and polished brass with modern lighting and abstract art, offering both serenity and vibrancy. Dining options range from the all-day restaurant with a blend of classic and modern influences, to the traditional Chinese restaurant Gu Jin, and the minimalist Japanese restaurant Ukemochi. Each space, including the gastro bar Tabby, integrates local craftsmanship with contemporary style with leitmotifs inspired by local craft, architecture and social fabrics. The guestrooms offer timeless elegance, with luxurious textures and neutral palettes, embodying a harmonious blend of history and modernity.
